Integration practice: You already are who you want to be ❤️

As we approach the beginning of a new year, I wanted to remind you of this truth:

Who you want to be…who you most deeply aspire to be…is already who you are.

Your most expanded, connected and wise self is already fully present… is already who you are.

So, as we enter this moment of setting intentions or resolutions for the new year, I invite you to set your intentions from a place of knowing that you are already whole…

…That who you are is already beautiful.

The collective consciousness is awash with goal-setting and a sense of striving for something better in the new year.

And I’m all for setting intentions!

I’m wondering, though, if we can clear out any hint of a suggestion that there is anything wrong with who you are right now…

And perhaps set the intention instead to embody more of yourself…

…to lovingly integrate all aspects of who you are…

…to gently let go of anything clouding your clarity around the truth of the depth and scope of who you are…

…a depth and scope that isn’t even comprehensible to the mind…

…but can be accessed through your deepest inner knowing…a knowing in your body and in your heart.

I invite you to join me in this practice of integration…

…with deep compassion for all parts of you…the wounded parts, the parts that are hiding, that parts that are afraid, the parts that are angry…

…knowing that embracing these parts is also the path to integrating more deeply into the essence of who you truly are.

To help with this, here are some affirmations I’ve been working with as I’ve been walking through this integration process.

They can help you release any fear around letting go of the “idea” of who you are, so you can gently get more directly acquainted with who you really are:

  • It is safe to not know who I am
  • It is safe to be new again and again, moment to moment
  • I am deeply supported as I walk the path of fully landing in who I am

How do those feel? Do you have a favorite?

At the moment, I especially like that first one. As you let go of one self-concept and begin to step into a new one, there’s a sort of liminal space, an in-between space, a space of not-knowing…

… and allowing for this not-knowing… without letting your mind try to quickly fill it in… is what can create the space for information and awareness to arrive.

With deep love for all aspects of you…wishing you joy in your process of self-discovery, and a happy, fulfilling New Year ✨
