I am enough: how to be more present in the moment

Recently, I’ve been playing in the energy of “I am enough”

It’s such a nice, soft space to play.

For me, it quiets mental background noise.

I am enough

It softens so many edges.

It melts tension in places I didn’t even realize were tense.

I’ve been returning to it whenever I feel my mind starting to rev up…

I am enough.

Is a potent sentence…

A potent feeling…

Experiences in life, especially experiences of stress, trauma, abuse, or neglect, can teach us that in order to feel safe, valued or worthy, we need to perform a certain way…

⁣…to have accomplished specific things

…to have worked on yourself in a certain way

…to have a specific person or organization’s approval

… to have achieved certain milestones or met certain goals in order to prove your worth to others or to yourself…⁣

But the truth is that you are enough now…⁣

Right now. ⁣

With zero modifications, caveats, or “buts.”

So I invite you today to deeply remember that you are worthy as you are, you are enough as you are, you are light in human form.

Thinking we have to change, do certain things, accomplish things, prove ourselves, in order to be acceptable, in order to be loved, in order to receive, in order to be enough…⁣

…takes us out of the current moment….takes our awareness away from the present, out into imagined futures…keeps our mental wheels spinning…⁣

I invite you to decide today, and to keep remembering to gently check-in and remind yourself, that you are enough now. ⁣

Simple steps to tap into the energy of “I Am Enough”

  1. Place your hands over your heart, or one hand over your heart and one over your belly
  2. Take 3 deep mindful breaths, slow inhale, slow exhale
  3. Allow yourself to connect with source/cosmic/ divine energy. (If you’re not sure how, just set the intention and trust that it’s happening). Let it flow through you.
  4. Feel into the feeling of the affirmation and vibration of: “I Am Enough”
  5. You can speak it aloud and/or feel into the energy of it
  6. Let the feeling of it infuse your body and your field

Let that feeling give you more and more access to the expansive beauty that is in the present moment right now.

When you allow this feeling in, you may notice your body softening. You may notice that your priorities shift; some of your plans might not seem as important or as time-sensitive. You may notice that your mind quiets down.

The sequence above is a simple practice you can return to any moment you desire a gentle but profound reset into remembering the truth of who you are.

I’d love to hear from you: what did you notice from this exercise? What shifts, what feelings, what insights? Feel free to share in the comments below.

Sending you love. ❤️

P.S. I also touched on this theme in a recent post on Instagram, where I’ve been playing a bit more recently. You can check it out here:
