What good is grief?
Although grief can be a difficult and uncomfortable emotion, it plays a vital role in our lives.
Grief gives us a way to appreciate and spend time with what we've lost.It invites us to settle down into our bodies and into the moment to reflect on what's changed in our lives; people we've lost, situations that've shifted, even versions of ourselves that we've left behind.
Grief is the process that allows us to move forward in life with honesty and clarity.
When we don't take this time, when we don't allow ourselves to grieve, we end up grieving inwardly. The emotion gets stuck in the body, staying with us instead of helping us move forward, and can end up causing harm.
Stagnant grief will commonly show up as issues with the Lungs and/or Large Intestines, the natural processing centers of grief, and can cause various skin conditions.This week's BodyTalk video will help you move stuck griefout of the body and support it's role in allowing you to release the old and embrace the new.
