Frequently Asked Questions

How many sessions will I need ?

On average, my clients are free of their initial concerns within 2-3 sessions!

Beyond that, it depends on your goals : ) Feel free to set up a free 15 minute consultation for feedback more specific to you.

  • Deeper-rooted issues may take more like 5-6 sessions.
  • Many clients choose to have BodyTalk regularly (average once a month) to routinely fine-tune their health and balance.
  • BodyTalk sessions are cumulative, so the more sessions you do, the deeper you can go : )

How do nonlocal (distance) sessions work?

We know from clinical experience that distance BodyTalk sessions have the same real-time effects as in-person sessions.

Ultimately, scientific information on nonlocal healing is a new field. There are many studies that demonstrate that it does work, but figuring out how it works is a bit more complicated. I’ll keep you updated as ongoing studies are published. Some preliminary research has been done, which you can access here.

The basic scientific principles responsible for why distance sessions work are found within quantum physics with the idea of nonlocality. The essence is that time and space and matter are all interconnected.

One way to look at it is in terms of a “radio frequencies” metaphor. Every person has a particular composition of energies that make them who they are. This is like having a personal “frequency,” or energy imprint. BodyTalkers are able to “tune in” to your particular frequency whether you are in the room or across the world.

What if I don’t have time to take an hour out of my day? Does that mean I can’t get BodyTalk?

While its ideal to take some quiet time while receiving a session, it’s not absolutely necessary. BodyTalk sessions are just as effective when you receive the session going about your normal day (with some notable exceptions like air travel : ).

In this case, I would do the session at the appointed time, and email you a summary. You could then contact me anytime if you had any questions or comments about the session.

What will I feel during the session?

People experience BodyTalk in different ways. The most common feeling is one of deep relaxation. Some people experience more dramatic shifts, visions, and emotional releases. Others feel a buzz or warm tingling in the body.

Regardless of what you experience in the moment, the shifts take place in your body and mind right away and unfold over the next 24 hours. Once your body experiences greater connectivity, it gets to work!

Is BodyTalk similar to Reiki?

While Reiki and BodyTalk can both be referred to as “energy medicine” there are many notable differences.  One major  difference is that Reiki calls upon a lovely warm “universal” energy to bolster your body, while BodyTalk happens entirely within your own energy system.  BodyTalk healing is an “inside job.”

Also, because of the testing process, BodyTalk offers greater precision and detail in targeting the root causes of dis-ease, and a deeper lever of personalization.

Is BodyTalk similar to EFT (emotional freedom technique)?

Similarities: EFT and BodyTalk both employ tapping, which comes from ancient Vedic traditions, and both have some roots in Traditional Chinese Medicine.

Differences: While EFT can be very effective in changing patterns of thought, and thereby disease, it doesn’t offer the same level of thoroughness and personalization as BodyTalk.  EFT provides a powerful way to alter emotional blocks, but doesn’t directly address the multiple pathways of disease in the body.

In short, I consider EFT to be an amazing tool, but not as comprehensive a system of healing.
