
Welcome Mindful Month-ers!
Ideally, as you breathe in and out, your entire body moves and rocks with the motion of the breath. This allows your diaphragm to flow freely and your lungs to fully fill and empty.
The short video below leads you through a breathing exercise that brings focus to the 6 major areas of the body that want to expand and release with each inhale and exhale.
Learning to take deeper breaths this way will also improve circulation, digestion, and posture, while softening areas of chronic tension.

When done regularly, this simple breathing work can have widespread affects on your health.
To continue this practice, you could either flow through each position in turn, like in the video, or choose the area that felt most difficult or uncomfortable and take 6 deep breaths each day focusing on this tighter spot until it softens. (or both!)
